What is Kwiddity?
Kwiddity.com is an online social network that fosters human connections with a focus on sharing quality life Quests. Our aim is to help connect Hosts (individuals or groups offering to share their expertise, skills and/or knowledge) with Seekers (individuals or groups who may be on a quest and/or wish to shadow Hosts). What is a Quest you ask?? Well a Quest is an experience offered by Hosts based on their passion, knowledge and/or life experience. By sharing their Kwiddity, this essence of who they are, Hosts will be able to assist you, the Seeker find your own Kwiddity, or the essence of who you are. Here are just a few examples of possible Quests you can experience; having lunch with an author, spending an afternoon with a zookeeper, spending a whole day with a chef, or even creating a fundraiser event for a group of people. The possibilities are limited only by your imagination. Don’t see a Quest that you are looking for? Simply post a request for the type of Quest you which to share! In the meantime, why not think about creating a Quest of your own that someone else might love to share in… the essence of Kwiddity!
Who can be a Host?
Anyone anywhere in the world who feels that they would love to share a part of their life with others can apply to become a Kwiddity Host. Activities that are illegal (in the country the Host is located), or those that will result in intentional injury or harm to others will not be considered. As a Host, you will be expected to provide the Quest to your Seeker as described in your listing. The costs associated with completing your Quest are your responsibility so all costs will need to be considered when you determine how much you want to charge. You will be the host of the Quest. Needless to say, putting some thought in what you are going to share will provide huge benefits if done properly. As the old saying goes, a happy Seeker will tell two friends… an unhappy Seeker will tell thirty.
How do I become a Host?
If you feel like you have a Quest that you would love to create and share with others, simply sign up to become a Kwiddity member. After creating your basic profile, it is now time to head to the “List a new Quest” page and fill out your Quest details. You will need to provide amongst other things, information of who you are, the details of the Quest you would like to share, how long the Quest will last, the minimum and maximum number of people per group and the cost. One thing you will need to consider is how you wish to be paid for your Quest. Payment will be processed through Kwiddity once the Quest has been confirmed and you will receive the funds once the Quest has been completed. Payment methods such as PayPay will require that you have an account with them, while bank transfers will require you to provide banking information. These are just some of the things that you need to think about before you apply to become a Host.
Who can be a Seeker?
Anyone can apply to partake in the Quest being offered. It is the Seekers’ responsibility to ensure that they are physically and medically capable to take part in the Quest they are applying for. Kwiddity, nor the Host, will be liable if the Seeker is not able to complete their Quest due to pre-existing conditions. Be sure to correspond with the Host prior to your booking to ensure that your expectations on what you will be doing are the same as what you will actually be expected to be able to do.
How do I become a Seeker?
To apply to take part in a Quest being offered by Hosts around the world, simply proceed to the Kwiddity membership application page and fill out the required fields. You will be asked for basic information about who you are in order to create your member profile. Once you have created your profile, you are free to search through our Quest database and apply to attend any Quest that interests you.
Do I have to become a member of Kwiddity to become a Host or Seeker?
You will need to create a profile and confirm certain information but this is done as a way to ensure the integrity of the Quest you wish to share or take part in. Becoming a Kwiddity member will allows Seekers and Hosts to correspond with each other to finalize the booking of any Quest.
How much does it cost to become a Kwiddity member?
There is no cost associated with joining Kwiddity

Hosts

How much does it cost to Host a Quest?
It does not cost anything for Hosts to list their Quest with Kwiddity. Once a Quest has been booked and completed by a Seeker, there will be an 8% (eight percent) service charge deducted by Kwiddity from the Quest Fee prior to the balance being forwarded to the Host. The Host will be responsible for any costs associated with transferring the funds by third party payment processors or bank fees. When setting the price you wish to charge, you will need to take these items into consideration.
Are Hosts screened?
All Hosts are required to provide details on who they are along with a full description of the Quest they are offering. No actual back ground checks can be performed due to privacy rules, but feedback on each Host may be given by Seekers having previously shared the Quests being offered. Be sure to read the Hosts reviews before you book. You are free to contact any Host thru Kwiddity should you have any concerns. Kwiddity works closely with all Hosts to ensure a fun and memorable Quest will be shared by all
How much can I charge to Host a Quest?
What you charge for a Quest you wish to share with Seekers is entirely up to you. You need to factor in all the costs associated with the Quest you wish to share along with your time. When setting the price, you will need to consider the all aspects carefully. If you set the price too high, you risk lowering the appeal of what you are offering. Pricing too low may be equally as risky for you. In setting the final price you will need to carefully consider the following:

  • All costs associated to what you wish to share
  • The time you are taking to share your Quest should be considered
  • The 8% service fee that will be taken off your Quest Fee prior to it being sent to you
  • The cost of the processing fees for the fund transfers.
How and when do I get paid for Hosting a Quest?
Payment for the Quest (minus the service fee and related transfer costs) will be forwarded to your selected payment method once the Quest you are hosting has been completed. The transaction will be initiated within one business day of the completion of the Quest. You will need to allow for the payment processing time of the payment method chosen by the Seeker. You will still receive payment if the Seeker had failed to show up for the Quest.(refer to Kwiddity Refund Policy) The payment will be made to you in the currency you have chosen in your profile. The conversion will be based on the exchange rate at the time the Quest was completed. You will receive an account summary with your booking confirmation so you will know exactly what has been paid. If you cancel the booking, you will not receive any payment.
Is it expected that the details of the Quest are ‘set in stone’? Can they be changed if current circumstances prevent things being offered as described?
As a Host, it is expected that the Quest you provide will be very close to if not exactly as what was described in your listing at the time of booking. There is nothing stopping the Seeker and Host from mutually agreeing to changes based on current circumstance prior to or even during the Quest. If current circumstances require the actual Quest to be different to what has been offered, The Host MUST contact Kwiddity and the Seeker who made the booking immediately advising of the changes. The Seeker will then have the option of cancelling the booking with a full refund or continuing with the booking with the anticipated changes being understood.
In what currency can I receive the Quests fees?
As part of the Services, Kwiddity provides a feature through which Members may view Total Fees for various Listings in foreign currencies. The currency in which the Seeker will be charged will be determined by Kwiddity based on the payment method they select and the location of the Quest in the Listing the Host is listing. If the currency in which the Seeker is charged is different from the currency chosen by the Host to receive payment, Kwiddity will be responsible for the required currency conversion processing, including the costs thereof, which will be calculated based on the most current applicable foreign exchange rate that Kwiddity has uploaded to the Site as of the date and time that your booking is confirmed (the “Applicable Exchange Rate”). You acknowledge that the Applicable Exchange Rate used for currency conversion processing may not be identical to the applicable market rate in effect at the specific time such processing occurs because: (i) although Kwiddity updates the Applicable Exchange Rate on a regular basis, it does not update such rate on a real-time basis; and (ii) the Applicable Exchange Rate may include an incremental cost or margin that is not included in the applicable market rate. For the avoidance of doubt, Kwiddity will retain any profits (and will bear any losses) that result from such currency conversion processing due to changes in the applicable foreign exchange rate between the date your booking is confirmed and the date Kwiddity makes payment to a Host.
What happens if the Seeker does not show up? Do I still get the Quest fee?
Yes. The Host is requested to contact Kwiddity immediately advising of the Seekers no-show. The circumstances will be investigated and the Host will receive their payment or asked for a chance to re-book the Quest if circumstances warrant that consideration.
What happens if the Seeker cancels a booking? Do I still get the Quest fee?
If the cancellation was made prior to seven days before the booked date, a refund will be issued. If the cancellation came within the seven days leading up to the booked date, no refund will be issued and as Host, you are entitled to receive the Quest fee. However, consideration should be given to rebooking another date if circumstances warrant or offering a refund regardless.
As the host, can I cancel or change the date and time of a booking without penalty?
If the Seeker is unable or unwilling to change the dates as requested by the Host, a full refund will be issued to the Seeker regardless of when the request was made in relation to the booked date. It is highly advisable that you try at all costs to keep the booking on the date and time scheduled as there might be associated costs that the Seeker is paying in order to take part in the Quest. Cancellation of the booking on your part may end up with some negative feedback being left about your Quest which could affect future bookings.
As a Host, what liabilities do I have to consider in providing a Quest?
It is your responsibility as a Host to ensure that the Quest you are offering to share can be done safely, legally and if there are any physical risks involved that these, are explained fully to the Seekers booking your Quest (see Terms of Service – link to page). You must ensure that all required safety equipment, if required, is provided, fully explained, and in proper working order. It is highly recommended that you check to see if should purchase Public Liability Insurance depending on the type of Quest you are sharing. If something were to happen that resulted in an injury or loss/damage to property, and it is determined that it was caused by an act of neglect on the Hosts part, payment will be withheld until it can be determined what occurred. A full refund could result. Any civil or criminal relief would be the responsibility of the Seeker. Kwiddity is not liable for any injury, damage to property, loss of property, accident or mishap that might occur during the Quest and no request for compensation will be accepted.
How do I provide feedback about a Seeker?
The Hosts may provide feedback on the Seeker by filling out a review on the Seeker’s profile page. Please be honest and open about your feedback. This is your chance to share what your experience with the Seeker was like which in turn will be read by future hosts. If there is any criticism to be made, keep it constructive. Kwiddity is all about sharing one’s true essence or spirit… not about telling someone what is wrong with theirs.
    Are Seekers screened?
As with Hosts, Seekers are required to provide basic information about themselves when signing up with Kwiddity. Feed back on Seekers may be given by the Hosts after each of their shared Quests. As a Host, you are free to check the feedback entries of the Seekers requesting to share the Quest you are offering. You can contact the Seeker through Kwiddity to address any concerns you might have about their suitability to take part in your Quest.
Am I responsible as a host to arrange for the Seeker to get to the location of my Quest?
Unless you have stated otherwise in the description of the quest you are offering, all cost associated in the Seeker getting to the location of your Quest as well as any and all accommodation needed while taking part in your Quest, is the responsibility of the Seeker. If due to the nature of the Quest you are offering, transportation and/or accommodation is required, that cost should be included in the price of the Quest you have listed and mentioned in the description of the Quest. The best price is the price that is shown. No surprises = no upset Seekers= positive feedback = new bookings.
Can a Seeker demand a refund if they are not happy with how a Quest went?
Generally speaking, no refund will be given if the Seeker is not happy with what was shared. As long as all aspects about the Quest you have listed at the time of booking have been provided, you are entitled as Host, to be paid for your Kwiddity. If on the other hand, the Quest that was shared is so different to the one described that it was clearly not what the Seeker signed up for, the Seeker has been advised to contact Kwiddity within 24 hours and provide full details on why they feel things were not as promised. If upon investigation it is determined that what they took part in was different to what had been offered, a refund will be issued. Please note: this does not mean that because there was a minor difference or two between what you shared and what was offered, the Seeker will be given a refund. The differences will need to be significant and without prior notification before any investigation will be started.
Can a Seeker change their mind about taking part in a Quest once it starts?
The seeker is free to leave the Quest at any time. No refund will be offered once the Quest has been started. (As long as the issue wasn’t that the Quest being offered was not the same as the what had been listed) If applicable, the costs associated with returning early from a shared Quest will be the responsibility of the Seeker.

How to I book a Quest?
If you have found a Quest that you would like to experience, simply contact the Host through Kwiddity and confirm any details and the availability of the date you wish to Quest on. Step two involves booking your Quest by sending through a request to the host using the “Book Me” button on Host’s Listing. You will be asked to fill out some basic information such as the number of people that will be on your Quest, date requested, length of the Quest you wish to take part in (if there are options) and confirm that you will be able to take part in the Quest safely (if there are any special requirements being asked for by the Host). You will then be asked to pay for your Quest (via a pre-authorization on your credit card or PayPal account) and your booking request will be sent through to the Host. You can expect to hear back within 24 hours if the Host is able to confirm your booking. If you have not heard back within the 24 hours, you should consider that the Host has not been able to confirm your booking and the pre-authorized payment will be cancelled. At this point you can send thru another request or try booking another Quest through a different Host. If you do receive confirmation, it means that the Host will be able to share the Quest on the date you have requested and the payment will be finalized. Note: your payment will be held by Kwiddity and not be forwarded to the Host until 24 hours after your confirmed booking date. (Please refer to Kwiddity’s refund policy for any questions dealing with you not being able to complete your Quest as scheduled). Once you have received confirmation of your booking, it is highly recommended that you correspond with the Host if you have any questionsabout the Quest or require any additional information about transportation and or accommodation for the time you are enjoying your Kwiddity Quest.
How do I pay for the Host for a Quest?
Payment for the Quest (consisting of the Quest and Booking Fee) is due at the time of booking. You can choose any of the payment methods offered by Kwiddity. If you are paying with credit card, the payment will be held as a pre-authorization until your booking has been confirmed by the Host. Once you have received confirmation, the payment will be processed but held by Kwiddity until you have completed your Quest. Your payment will then be sent though to the Host 24 hours after the completion of your Quest unless issues have arose that warrant the payment being held. (Refer to Kwiddity’s refund policy) NOTE: You will be responsible for any bank fees or costs associated with third party payment processing fees if you cancel your Quest and ask for a refund after the initial 24 hour waiting period.
Are there any additional fees not shown in the cost of a Quest?
The Total Cost for each Quest consists of the Host’s Quest Fee and an 8 % Booking Fee charged by Kwiddity. There are no hidden costs. It is the responsibility of the Host to cover ALL costs associated in sharing their Quest and as such it is their responsibility to factor these items into what they decide to charge. Each Quest will have a list of things that are included in the Quest. Being asked or made to pay extra for these items or any additional items should not be accepted. If on the other hand, the Seeker wishes to do anything extra that were not originally included in the booking, it will be their responsibility to cover any extra costs. Hosts will not be allowed to increase the cost of the Quest once the booking has been confirmed. If situations change with the costs involved with sharing the Quest, these costs will need to be covered by the Host. If the additional costs are prohibitive, then the option of the Host cancelling the booking is still available. If the Seeker wishes to re-book at the new price, they can, but it can be expected that feedback provided by the Seeker will reflect this increase in price after the initial booking.
In what currency are the Quests paid for?
As part of the Services, Kwiddity provides a feature through which Members may view Total Fees for various Listings in foreign currencies. If you (as a Seeker) request a booking, you will be notified of the currency in which you will be charged together with the corresponding amount of Total Fees, if your booking is confirmed by a Host. The currency in which you will be charged will be determined by Kwiddity based on the payment method you select and the location of the Quest in the Listing you are booking. If the currency in which you will be charged is different from the currency chosen by the Host to receive payment, Kwiddity will be responsible for the required currency conversion processing, including the costs thereof, which will be calculated based on the most current applicable foreign exchange rate that Kwiddity has uploaded to the Site as of the date and time that your booking is confirmed (the “Applicable Exchange Rate”).
    Are Hosts screened?
All Hosts are required to provide details on who they are and the full description of the Quest they are offering. No actual back ground checks can be performed due to privacy rules, but feedback on each Host may be given by Seekers having shared the Quest they are offering. Be sure to read feedback on the Hosts and you are free to contact the Host thru Kwiddity with any concerns. Kwiddity works closely with all our Hosts to ensure that a fun and memorable Quest will be shared by all.
Can I cancel my booking prior to taking part in a Quest?
You can cancel your booking at anytime. If the cancellation was made prior to seven days before the booking date, a refund of the Quest Fee will be issued. If the cancellation came within the seven days leading up to the booked date, no refund will be issued and the Host is entitles to receive the Quest fee. However, consideration may be given by the Host to rebooking another date if circumstances warrant. (Kwiddity’s refund policy)
What happens if the Host cancels a Quest? Can I get my money back?
Full refunds will be provided if the Host cancels the Quest. Please consider this possibility and correspond with the Host if there will be travel or accommodation costs associated with getting yourself to the location of the Quest (i.e. airfare, hotel etc). These costs will not be refunded by Kwiddity and are solely the responsibility of the Seeker.
Can I change the date and time of my Quest without penalty?
You will be allowed to change the date of your booking without penalty only if the Host is able to accommodate the changes you requested. If the change is requested more than seven days before the booking and the Host is unable to accommodate it, a refund of the Quest Fee will be issued. If the request is made within the seven days leading up to the booked date, the Host is not obligated to agree with the change and may request the full payment. It is hoped that the Seeker and Host would be able to work together to come to an agreement.
What happens if I don’t show up for a Quest?
If you find that circumstances dictate that you are unable to attend the Quest on the day you have booked, contact the Host ASAP and inquire about re-booking. (Refer to Kwiddity’s refund policy). If you fail to show for your Quest, your booking will be processed as normal within 24 hours of the scheduled Quest date. Communication is a very important part of the Kwiddity experience. Without it, a successful Quest for your Kwiddity will be more difficult than it needs to be.
What happens if I show up for a Quest and it is not what I expected?
Generally speaking, no refund will be given if you are just not happy with what was shared. All information about the Quest you have signed up for should have been provided for you prior to your Quest date. If on the other hand, the Quest that was shared is so different to the one described that it was clearly not what you signed up for, contact Kwiddity within 24 hours and provide full details on why you feel things were not as promised. If upon investigation it is determined that what you took part in was different than what had been offered, a refund will be issued. Please note: this does not mean that because there was a minor difference or two between what you shared and what was offered, you will be given a refund. The differences will need to be significant and without prior notification before any investigation will be started. Do your research! Correspond with the Host prior to your Quest date and ensure that you are clear on exactly what you will be sharing in.
Can I change my mind about taking part in a Quest once it starts?
You are free to leave your Quest at any time. No refund will be offered once the Quest has been started. If applicable, the costs associated with returning early from a shared Quest will be the responsibility of the Seeker. Having said that… if at any time the Seeker feels that they have got into a situation beyond their abilities, they have the right and the responsibility to end the Quest immediately. Do not allow yourself to be put in a situation that will put you at risk beyond what you are physically, mentally or emotionally able to handle. You are free to contact either Kwiddity or the Host with your concerns at any time leading up to your booking
What happens if the Host does not show? Can I get my money back?
Yes. The Seeker is requested to contact Kwiddity immediately advising of the Host’s no-show. The circumstances will be investigated and the Seeker will receive a full refund or the chance to re-book can be looked into.
Who arranges and pays for the transportation to the location of a Quest?
Unless otherwise noted in the Quest listing, the seeker is responsible for any and all costs associated with transportation to the Quest site.
Who arranges and pays for any accommodation required during my Quest time?
Unless otherwise noted in the Quest listing, the seeker is responsible for any and all costs associated with accommodation during the Quest.
As a Seeker, what are some of the things that would be considered a ‘must know’ before taking part in any Quest, particularly if the Quest is in a foreign country?
  • Is the Quest being offered legal? ( In the country that the Quest is located in)
  • Is the Quest being shared an activity that is acceptable in the community that it is taking place… breaching community standards sometimes result in greater risks than those faced when breaching legal ones.
  • Are you physically, mentally and emotionally able to take part in the Quest you have sign up for?
  • Do you feel comfortable that the Host is qualified to safely share the Quest they are offering?
  • Is all necessary equipment being provided to complete the Quest safely?

It is the full responsibility of the Seeker to ensure that what they are about to Quest is something that they will be able to do safely. Kwiddity is not liable for any injury, damage to property, loss of property, accident or mishap that might occur during the Quest. If at any time you feel that the Host is acting recklessly or putting you in danger, stop the Quest immediately and contact Kwiddity ASAP. As a Seeker, what happens if I get hurt while doing the experience due to the negligence of the Host?
It is up to the Seeker to pursue any civil or criminal relief that might be available to them as a result of something that happened during their Quest. If at any time you feel that the Host is acting recklessly or putting you in danger, stop the Quest immediately and contact Kwiddity ASAP. Any incident will be investigated and if warranted, a full refund will be issued.
As a Seeker, who is ultimately responsible for my well being during the experience?
The ultimate responsibility for the Seeker’s well being lies with the Seekers themselves. (see Terms of Service ). If at any time you feel that you are in a situation beyond your capability, you have the right and the responsibility to end the Quest immediately. Do not allow yourself to be put in a situation that will put you at risk beyond what you are physically, mentally or emotionally able to handle. You are free to contact either Kwiddity or the Host with your concerns at any time leading up to your booking.
How do I provide feedback about the Quest and the Host?
Fill out the feedback section of the Hosts profile page as soon as possible after you have completed the Quest. If Kwiddity does not receive any negative feedback or serious concerns within 24 hours of the Quest being completed, the payment for the Quest will be forwarded to the Host. Your feedback is an important part of Kwiddity. In providing it you are giving much needed information to future Seekers who might be interested in sharing the Quest you have just completed. All we ask is that negative feedback, if any, is fair and constructive so that issues can be addressed in a positive and beneficial way.
